KnowRight 2008 18-19 September 2008, Kraków, Poland Jagiellonian University; Institute of Intellectual Property Law knowright08.ocg.at SUBMISSIONS DEADLINE EXTENDED UNTIL 1 JUNE 2008! Conference on the Interaction of Information Related Rights, Information Technology and Knowledge Management KnowRight conferences have been held since 1995 focusing on the interaction between Intellectual Property Rights, Information Rights, ethical issues, civil society and information technology. Academics, practitioners and researchers will meet to discuss a broad range of issues arising in the context of the Information Society and a progressively electronic environment. Participation of a wide spectrum of vested interests will ensure a lively debate. Main topics: Intellectual property, open source, open content, public sector information, data protection and data security. It will be organized by the Austrian Computer Society OCG, supported by the German Computing Society GI and the German Society for Law and Informatics DGRI and take place in Krakow / Poland in cooperation with the Institute of Intellectual Property Law at the Jagiellonian University.

Papers should be of high quality, original, unpublished, and not submitted elsewhere. Prospective authors are invited to submit their draft paper or extended abstract (up to 10 pages) via uploading (website knowright08.ocg.at, point: SUBMISSION OF CONTRIBUTIONS).
