IRIS Internationales Rechtsinformatik Symposion 2006

IRIS is the biggest conference on legal informatics  in Central Europe and covers all aspects of computers and law:  legal information, applications,advanced legal knowledge systems, e-government, e-commerce, e-justice as well as e-government law, e-commerce law etc. In 8 tracks, more than 120 papers are presented to an audience of more  than 250 people.

The participation is free; conference proceedings are published by Boorberg Verlag (Germany).

Conference language is German; papers can be presented also in English. Some workshops and sessions are hold in English.


Also part of IRIS in 2006 is the Knowright conference on intellectual property law, data protection and data security that is jointly organised with the OCG Austrian Computing Society:


The deadlines for the main conference and the various workshops are on 15 November 2005. For LEFIS partners, an extension of about 2 weeks is  granted, e.g. proposals should arrive on begin of December 2005.
